Starting Point is excited to welcome Megan Johnston as our new Director of Regional Services.
Megan steps into this role with a strong respect for the relationships that already exist across our region and a commitment to strengthening them. She brings a people-first approach to the work, rooted in listening, partnership, and a deep appreciation for the professionals who support children and families every day.
She recognizes that the care, dedication, and consistency shown by early childhood and youth-serving professionals and how it shapes young lives, supports working families, and strengthens entire communities. That understanding guides her approach to leadership and to the work ahead.
At the core of Megan’s leadership style is relationship-building. She sees her role as a supportive partner, someone who takes time to understand the realities programs face and works alongside them to navigate both opportunities and challenges. In the coming weeks, she’s looking forward to learning more about programs across Ashtabula, Lake, and Geauga counties, hearing what’s working well, and exploring how Starting Point can continue to support and strengthen their work.

Warm Wishes for Betsy Griffin in her Retirement
As we look ahead, we also want to take a moment to recognize Betsy Griffin for her more than 27 years of service to Starting Point. As Director of Regional Services, Betsy played a central role in building and sustaining the relationships that underpin this work, helping guide programs and communities through years of growth and change with steadiness, care, and deep commitment. We are grateful for her lasting impact on Starting Point and the region we serve, and we wish her all the very best in her well-earned retirement.
