Prevention and Inclusion Programs (PIPS)

Strength-based approaches supporting Providers and Families.

Starting Point’s Prevention and Inclusion Programs (PIPS) embrace a strength-based approach to provide the highest standard of Technical Assistance and other support to child care providers and their families for children who need additional support to be successful in their child care setting and beyond. We recognize that children need more support from the adults in their lives as they navigate the many challenges and adversities they face.

PIPS connects child care providers and families with experts who can provide strategies to address medical, developmental, and social-emotional concerns to further prepare adults to serve our youngest citizens.  We provide professional development, consultation, and a lending library for adaptive equipment to maintain children in their child care settings. PIPS works with providers and families to understand, embrace, and respond to the unique needs of every child. These services are made possible by funding from The Cuyahoga County Office of Early Childhood/Invest in Children; Geauga County Job and Family Services; and the United Way of Lake County.
