Out-of-School Time

About Out-of-School Time
After-school and summer programs, often referred to as Out-of-School-Time (OST) or Expanded Learning, are a critical component of healthy youth development. For every $1 invested in OST programs communities see a $3 return on investment through increasing youth’s earning potential, improving their performance at school, and reducing community violence.
Starting Point’s network of Out-of-School time programs serves more than 2,500 children annually in Cuyahoga County through a public-private partnership with Cuyahoga County Family and Children First Council and The Cleveland Foundation.
Training and Professional Development
The OST Professional Development System promotes positive youth development approaches to service delivery and standards of practice for youth-serving professionals.
OST Provider Network
Starting Point provides weekly e-mail messages & quarterly ZOOM meetings to connect OST Professionals and share information and resources. Contact Stacey.Gepperth@Starting-Point.org to be added to the network.
