Your Voice Matters: Help Shape the Future of Child Care in Northeast Ohio
Child care professionals are the backbone of our community, providing essential services that help families thrive. To continue supporting you and improving programs across Northeast Ohio, Starting Point is conducting the 2025 Child Care Workforce Survey.
What is the survey?
This survey is your chance to share your experiences, challenges, and ideas for the future. Whether you’re a teacher, administrator, or owner, your voice is crucial to painting a full picture of the child care landscape in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Lake, and Geauga Counties. To help us understand what you need, the survey is split into two–one is for Administrators and Business Owners, and one is for Child Care staff.
Is this a new survey?
This survey is partly new–while Starting Point has released a Workforce Survey each year (see 2024’s results, here) this year we are introducing a new component, and hearing from all child care workers and staff in Northeast Ohio!
Which Survey Should I take?
We’re looking for responses from ALL child care workers in Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake and Cuyahoga counties. We’re asking Administrators and Business Owners to take the Workforce Survey, and all child care staff (teachers, non-teachers, assistants, bus drivers–you name it!) to take the Workplace Survey.

What does Starting Point do with this information?
We will use the anonymous responses collected in a few ways. First, to understand what the current child care landscape looks like in Northeast Ohio. What trends do we see across different counties and cities? Second, we will take these trends and advocate for programs and services that help child care sites thrive. Which, of course, helps our communities and families thrive. It’s a win-win.
How will I find out if I've won the gift card?
Each survey has its own gift card raffle. If you include your name and email address in your response, your information will be entered into our raffle. Your contact information will NOT be paired with your survey information–that will stay separate, and anonymous. If your name is selected, a Starting Point team member will reach out to you via the email address you’ve shared with details on collecting your prize!
Is this survey anonymous?
YES! Starting Point values your honest feedback, and we will not share personal details when reviewing or publishing survey results. We will not provide your individual data to anyone.
