A growing number of preschoolers are having difficulty with expressive language, listening skills, and executive function. Group times that require young children to sit still and listen simply don’t support early learning needs. We need to clarify the purpose of group times, and redesign them to give children a memorable and multi-faceted learning experience. This short training will help child care providers to reflect on what they teach in group time, and how to meet individual goals in a group activity.
