Event
Escaping A Burning House
This highly interactive, reflective workshop is designed to help Out-of-School-Time (OST) providers understand, recognize, and respond to burnout before it becomes overwhelming. Participants explore the five stages of burnout, gaining clarity on the emotional, physical, and behavioral warning signs that often show up in youth-serving professionals and the environments in which they work. The workshop also examines the seven core components of self-care, emphasizing sustainable practices that support long-term well-being rather than short-term stress relief. Through discussion, activities, and real-world scenarios, participants learn practical, age-appropriate strategies for modeling and teaching self-care skills to youth, helping young people develop healthy coping habits, emotional awareness, and resilience in both academic and out-of-school settings.
