Building Resilience & Healing from Trauma in Early Childhood Settings
A strong social-emotional foundation supports every child’s health, happiness, and success in school and life. Trauma and toxic stress can disrupt young children’s well-being, brain development, and behavior. Because children’s experiences may not be known, every early childhood setting should be prepared to provide trauma-sensitive support. This work can also affect caregivers, contributing to secondary trauma and making regular self-care essential. This webinar will help participants recognize the effects of trauma and toxic stress in children and adults, apply trauma-sensitive strategies, and understand how resilience-building practices promote healing.
