Your program may be eligible to participate in the 2026 Market Rate Survey for the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY).
Public and Private Programs asked to participate:
- Child care centers
- Family child care programs
- Preschool programs
- School-Age programs
- Approved day camps
PER DCY, The Market Rate Survey is:
- Required both federally and through Ohio code
- Conducted every two years
- Collects essential information that helps DCY understand the current cost of child care across the state.
- Ensures reimbursement rates reflect what private pay families are being charged
- Provides a clear, up-to-date picture of Ohio’s licensed early care and education/child care market
- Supports data-driven decisions that benefit providers and families
- Does not require participation in the Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) program
