Education and Advocacy

Starting Point provides comprehensive education and advocacy on issues impacting children, educators, and early childhood and out-of-school time programs in Northeast Ohio. Our efforts include offering a range of educational resources and programs designed to support children’s development and enhance the skills of educators. This includes professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions for early childhood educators and caregivers, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide high-quality education and care.

Our advocacy involves engaging with policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to influence policies and legislation affecting early childhood education and out-of-school time programs. We strive to increase funding, improve program quality, and ensure access to essential services for all children, particularly those from underserved communities. By advocating for these changes, we aim to create a supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

In addition to our educational and advocacy efforts, we actively participate in community outreach to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education and the critical role of out-of-school time programs. Through partnerships with local organizations, we work to expand access to educational programs and resources, ensuring families receive the support they need. By conducting research and gathering data, we identify gaps in services and advocate for necessary changes, driving improvements in the early childhood education system and making a positive, lasting impact on the lives of children, educators, and families in Northeast Ohio.
