Our Board of Directors, comprised of leaders from various industries across northeast Ohio, embodies a shared passion for quality early childhood education, child care, and out-of-school time, making our mission possible
As a board member, you’ll be responsible for providing governance, strategic direction, and oversight to Starting Point. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting strategic mission and direction
- Establishing governance and policies
- Providing financial oversight
- Hiring and evaluating executive leadership
- Identifying and managing risk
- Developing and planning for board membership and succession
- Engaging with stakeholders, including policy & advocacy engagement
- Tracking organizational performance
Qualifications:
We are looking for community members who are eager to engage and contribute at board meetings, willing to actively participate on at least one committee (such as Governance, Advancement, Finance & Audit, Policy & Advocacy), support and champion Starting Point’s mission and strategic plan, and are able to make a financial contribution.
Each board member commits to serving three years.
