Starting Point's advocacy efforts on behalf of child care reach from our Northeast Ohio communities all the way to the White House. Initiatives include increasing funding and programming for child care and early education; ensuring child care for parents moving from welfare to work; stimulating key local, State and Federal legislation and developing new public and private early childhood approaches.

We offer higher education options, credentials and hundreds of training sessions to educate child care professionals to all aspects of child care effectiveness. Consumer initiatives include educating the public on the importance of quality child care, choosing quality care, helping children be resilient, understanding the special needs of boys, creating constructive out-of-school options and much more.
